What is bullying?

Bullying is:
  • When someone is being hurt purposely either by words or action
  • When someone intimidates another individual in order to have control
  • It happens more than one time

Types of Bullying

Physical: Pushing, hitting, slapping, knocking books out of hands, etc.
Verbally: Name calling, Teasing, threatening to cause harm, etc.
Social: Purposely leaving someone out, spreading rumors, embarrassing someone in public, etc.
Cyber-Bullying: Harassing another individual using an electronic means. 

What to do if you are being bullied.

  • ​Tell  a trusted adult
  • Stay with friends. Do not go places where you could potentially be alone with the bully.
  • When safe, stand up to the bully. Tell the bully you do not like their behavior.
  • Ignore the bully.
